Your pelvic floor doesn’t exist in isolation—it’s deeply connected to your feet, gait, and posture. From the ground up, the way we stand, walk, and move influences pelvic health, stability, and mobility.
For many of us, the pelvic floor can be a source of pain, tension, or disconnection. In a time of widespread misinformation, reduced access to essential healthcare, and growing threats to bodily autonomy, it’s crucial to develop a deeper understanding of our own bodies.
This five-week series explores the foot-pelvis connection, combining movement, breathwork, and self-massage to build a balanced, supportive foundation. You’ll gain practical tools to enhance pelvic function, reduce discomfort, and improve overall stability.
Who is this series for?
This series is for anyone interested in pelvic health, foot health, and movement awareness, especially if you experience:
Pelvic pain (including endometriosis, adenomyosis, vulvodynia, vaginismus, or vestibulodynia)
Hypertonic (tight) pelvic floor
Incontinence (leaking) or difficulty controlling the bladder/bowels
Pain during sex (solo or partnered)
Foot or gait imbalances (flat feet, foot pain)
Chronic tension in the hips, lower back, or feet
Balance challenges
No prior yoga experience is necessary—this series is designed to be gentle, inclusive, and adaptable to your body’s needs.
What to Expect Each Week
Week 1: The Foot-Pelvis Connection – Your Foundation
What do my feet have to do with my pelvis? A lot, as it turns out! Learn how foot posture affects the pelvis, spine, and core.
Explore the anatomy of your feet and pelvis.
Practice gentle yoga for mobility & awareness (toe stretches, foot doming, pelvic tilts.)
Week 2: Building Strength from the Ground Up
Differentiate between tight muscles and strong muscles.
Build stability in your feet and legs to support a more relaxed pelvis.
Move through a steady yoga sequence for foot grounding & variability (standing poses)
Week 3: Pelvic Floor & Foot Fascia – Release & Relief
Understand the fascia connection between the feet, legs, and pelvic floor, and even the tongue!
Apply myofascial release techniques for feet and hips
Soften tension with yoga practices for the feet & pelvis (self-massage, active vs. passive stretching).
Week 4: Balance and Breath
Cultivate both effort and ease in a movement sequence focused on balance.
Breathe with intention using practices that restore nervous system health.
Walk mindfully with yoga techniques for meditative and grounded movement.
Week 5: Integration – Moving Forward from a Supported Foundation
Flow through a slow yoga sequence incorporating foot, pelvic, and core work from the previous four weeks.
Reflect on your progress with group discussion and Q&A.
Why Focus on the Feet & Pelvis?
Somel approaches to pelvic health often focus solely on the pelvis, but our feet serve as the first foundation of movement and stability. This series takes a holistic, full-body approach—one that recognizes how our posture, patterns, and foot mechanics influence pelvic function and long-term well-being.
You’ll leave this series with:
✔️ A stronger, more stable foundation for every day movement
✔️ Tools to release tension and increase mobility in the feet and pelvis
✔️ A better understanding of how to move in ways that support pelvic health
✔️ A more grounded and intimate relationship with your body

About the Facilitator
Sasha Sigel (she/her) is a white, queer, trauma informed yoga teacher. Sasha invites students to find a deeper relationship with their bodies, communities, and world. Sasha completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Daya Yoga Studio in 2017, and went on to study Trauma Sensitive Yoga at the Justice Resource Institute. Sasha holds space for the complexities of trauma, physical pain, gender, and sexuality as they relate to the pelvic floor. Beyond her formal training, Sasha holds personal experience with endometriosis, pelvic pain, and high tone pelvic floor dysfunction. This series was born from her own healing journey, blending the most effective tools she’s found for managing pain and reclaiming ease.
In addition to teaching yoga, Sasha has a long-standing commitment to community care and mutual aid, working in ways that support LGBTQIA+ health, Palestinian liberation, and reproductive justice. Sasha also works as an abortion doula.

Testimonials
“Sasha’s teaching style is a beautiful balance of honoring yoga’s roots and understanding the need to adapt for a more inclusive practice. As a queer South Asian woman with chronic illness and pain, there are many things that have driven me away from popular yoga spaces, and I have been very thankful for Sasha’s warm and understanding approach. I have deeply infiltrative endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, and Sasha’s “Yoga for Pelvic Health” course provided a ton of knowledge that has been really helpful in creating a home practice that works for me.”
“Sasha created an excellent series of 5 classes, and offered it at a very generous price. She built trust and care by setting simple group guidelines, using gender-neutral language, and encouraging us to listen to our bodies. My pelvic floor PT, who I have been working with for months, noticed some big progress when I began taking these classes alongside our sessions & my daily stretches. I hope to work with Sasha more soon!”
