Heart Centered Yoga: A Fundraiser for Mohammed’s Family

Thursday, August 1

7:00 pm ET (60 minutes)

Online (live and recorded)

Suggested Donation: $10-100

A virtual fundraiser for Mohammed’s family in their efforts to evacuate Gaza

Yoga is a practice of liberation. This gentle yoga class will center on caring for our own hearts, and extending that care to those suffering in Palestine and beyond. Explore asana (postures) that feel grounding and comforting. practice pranayama (management of our energy) with slow, full breaths. To end, we’ll take a restorative posture and tune into the support of the earth and the community.

100% of donations will go directly to Mohammed’s Evacuation Fund.

“I am Mohammed. I am a Palestinian. I study in Egypt at the Faculty of Medicine… My whole family is now trying to leave Gaza. They are being subjected to constant violence and terror, and are now facing starvation. Like other gazans they have struggled for many months to access clean water, food and shelter.

Due to the inflation that comes with this scarcity, the cost for travel of per person to leave Gaza is currently 5000$.

‎‏We need your donations to rebuild the home of our memories that was destroyed by war... We believe your humanity will help us keep our hopes and dreams, and come back together to nurse our wounds…

Anything you can give to us is a blessing and we are eternally grateful to you. Please help me save my family.”

- Mohammed

Folks new to yoga are most welcome. This practice will be trauma informed. You may join live or practice via the recording.
