.: private yoga :.
Yoga is a South Asian practice that engages our body, mind, and spirit. Rather than aiming for perfection or policing our bodies, we engage in compassionate self-study. Ultimately, yoga is a pathway towards connection and liberation for ourselves and the collective.
Private yoga sessions allow us to curate the practice to meet your specific needs, interests and curiosities. Some folks choose to practice privately after harmful experiences in western yoga studios, or to explore the larger system of yoga. Some people want to break down the mechanics of a headstand, and others are curious about breathing techniques for anxiety.
We’ll adapt asana (postures), pranayama (energy and breath management) and meditation to discover a practice that feels right for you, while still honoring the roots of yoga. We’ll gently work with muscular tension through movement that offers ease and spaciousness. Rather than trying to force change to happen, we’ll create the conditions that allow change to come through on its own. In these ways, each session is approached with ahimsa (non harm/anti-violence).
Those with limited mobility, injuries, or chronic health challenges often find more benefits from a tailored practice. Chair yoga or bed yoga are always an option. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and reflect.
Your whole self is welcomed into these sessions. Over a cup of tea, we’ll check in about what ails you and what kind of support you’re craving.

.: private yoga for pelvic health :.
Our pelvis can be a place of tension, pain, and trauma. It can also be a place of relief, intimacy, and healing. These sessions offer an opportunity to build a new relationship with your pelvis through breath, awareness, and movement. You’ll develop healthy, supportive practices to enhance pelvic health.
Yoga for pelvic health dives into the specific muscles, organs, and movement patterns related to the pelvis. Education around anatomy helps you understand more about your own body. We will asses your unique pelvic health and explore asana, breath, and mudras that support your needs.
Theses sessions are geared towards folks experiencing:
Pelvic pain
Pelvic organ prolapse
Incontinence (leaking)
Endometriosis and adenomyosis
Painful periods
Vulvodynia, vaginismus, or vestibulodynia
We’ll hold space for the complexities of trauma, gender, and sexuality as they relate to the pelvis. As a queer person with endometriosis and pelvic pain, my formal training is underscored by my personal experience. I understand the various ways HRT, gender affirming practices and surgeries might impact pelvic health.
Through this work, you’ll develop a rich understanding of your pelvis, and practical tools for maintaining pelvic health.

.: peer reviewed studies about yoga :.
Association between yoga and multimorbidity: a nationwide study of 279,885 middle-aged and older adults (2025) was a cross-sectional study pooled nationally representative surveys from Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System.
“[Our] results suggested that practicing yoga for at least one hour or one time per week may provide sufficient health benefit, further underscoring the potential of yoga as a time-efficient and effective strategy for improving overall health and managing chronic conditions… yoga was found to be significantly associated with lower odds of multimorbidity [two or more long-term illnesses] and individual chronic conditions…”
Reducing Stress with Yoga: A Systematic Review Based on Multimodal Biosignals (2024) studied 105 reviews incorporating biosignals to detect stress levels during the practice of Yoga.
“The incorporation of deliberate, measured movements, conscious breathing, and mindfulness strategies in yoga exercises facilitates the stimulation of the PNS [parasympathetic] nervous system, resulting in a state of relaxation. With consistent engagement, yoga has the potential to reshape habitual stress responses, cultivating resilience and emotional balance over time.”
